Is rhe past always golden

I always wonder why we tend to think or reminiscence about the past as always 'golden' 'good old days', 'rosy past,' . whenever we speak to some one also it is always that we , except for negative folks, we picture whatever happened in the past as always, something happy, or pleasant.
Our mind blocks the bad things. our human nature strives for a happier frame. Maybe that is the reason. Man and for that matter woman also, we, are innately, beings woring towards happiness.
And the search for happiness and the hope that is the verey essence of our fabric make our lives and the daily grid of living endurable.
Each day as we get up, we are looking forward to a good day, and it is up tp us to avoid being downcast when the day closes and we had a lot of disappoinments etc.
And even if , when at the end of a bad day we are upset, the next dawn finds us filled with asn expectation of a better day.
And as time rolls by,the dad events of our lives are becoming more and nore blurred and the pAST is golden.
Isn't this oneof Nature's wonders?
